University Convocation marks the beginning of a new academic year for MTSU students. Students and their families can come hear remarks from J.D. Vance, the author of the MTSU summer reading book, Hillbilly Elegy, President Sidney McPhee, Vice President Debra Sells, and the SGA President. Learn about traditions, hear the Band of Blue perform, and help us celebrate the beginning of a new year.

The President’s Picnic will immediately follow Convocation, and is a great time to eat and mingle with fellow students, MTSU administrators, and special guest J.D. Vance, and even Dr. McPhee!
