Join us as we start string racing!

We have designed and developed small battery-powered vehicles that run along a tensioned string via a motor-driven wheel, and we are asking all library patrons and staff to come into the Makerspace to be part of our fall race day. After getting trained on both the 3D printer and laser cutter, one has everything they need to build a string racer of their own.

All levels of expertise are welcome.

Participants must sign up in the Makerspace, and there will be limited spaces available.

Building is already under way in the Makerspace, and the race will begin on Oct. 24. Each participant will take on another in a drag race format until we have determined a winner.

Let's go racing!
